High performance
additive manufacturing
using source material

A project is supported by the Fusion R&I Technology Development programme of the Malta Council for Science and Technology (Project R&I 2018-009-T) and is led by the University of Malta and its industrial partner, Abertax Quality Limited

Developing an innovative Fused Granulated Fabrication (FGF) system

Our Main Goals

More affordable PEEK and PEEK-CF 3D printing.

Reduce thermal loading of 3D printing polymers by directly using the raw material.

Use low cost components to achieve high performance 3D printing.

Quality at a low cost

Attaining 3D printing quality on the same level and even better then achieved by present fused filament fabrication (FFF) systems.

  • Consistent extrusion
  • Low to no material degradation n
  • Small feature size
